Pospay and Jalin Partnership Enhances SOE Synergy for Cross-Border QRIS Payments in Singapore
Nov 11, 2024
Singapore — PT Pos
Indonesia (Persero), through the Pospay application, and PT Jalin Pembayaran
Nusantara (Jalin), part of the Danareksa SOE Holding, have announced a
strategic collaboration to launch cross-border QRIS payment services, enabling
Pospay customers to make seamless transactions in Singapore. Supported by
Jalin’s Link digital payment processing network, this service was inaugurated
through the signing of a symbolic charter at the 2024 Singapore Fintech
Festival (SFF). This initiative exemplifies SOE synergy to strengthen national
digital payment connectivity and accelerate digitalisation in line with the
Indonesian Payment System Blueprint (BSPI) 2030.
This initiative aims to expand Pospay’s service coverage while supporting the BSPI 2030 agenda, which emphasises infrastructure modernisation, industry consolidation, and international collaboration within the payment ecosystem. The collaboration allows Pospay customers to make cross-border payments conveniently, providing a seamless and secure transaction experience when travelling to Singapore and other regional destinations such as Malaysia and Thailand.
Eko Dedi Rukminto, Jalin’s Commercial Director, stated, “Our collaboration with Pospay opens up broader cross-border transaction opportunities for our members. Jalin’s Link network will support Pospay customers travelling to Singapore, enabling them to transact with ease, as if they were at home. This solution not only enhances convenience for users but also creates opportunities for other Jalin members to expand cross-border payment partnerships, fostering digital economic growth in the region.”
Haris, Director of
Network Business and Financial Services at Pos Indonesia, expressed his
appreciation for the partnership. “As part of our digital transformation,
Pospay is committed to continually expanding services for customers in
Indonesia and abroad. This cross-border QRIS service enhances Pospay's
advantages as an inclusive, accessible, and relevant financial platform for the
wider community. We believe that this partnership with Jalin will strengthen
our payment system infrastructure and provide the best experience for Pospay
customers abroad,” said Haris.
As the digital financial
application of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero), Pospay continues to develop a
variety of leading features to meet customer needs, ranging from bill payments
and remittances to digital product purchases. With Jalin’s support, Pospay leverages
a secure and reliable switching network, providing efficient cross-border
transaction experiences for its over 400,000 active users.
This collaboration
between Pospay and Jalin demonstrates both companies' strong commitment to
providing inclusive and accessible payment solutions for the Indonesian public.
This synergy between SOEs is expected to strengthen the national digital
payment ecosystem, expand cross-border transaction opportunities, and support
BSPI 2030’s vision of creating a modern digital payment infrastructure aligned
with international standards, fulfilling the mandate of the Ministry of
State-Owned Enterprises.
