Mitra Bukalapak and Jalin Collaborate Through SPEKTA 2024 to Accelerate MSME Digital Transformation and Drive National Economic Progress

Jakarta — PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (“Jalin”), part of the Danareksa SOE Holding, has partnered with Mitra Bukalapak to strengthen synergy through the annual Spesial Kumpul Juwara Akhir Tahun (SPEKTA) event. This year’s SPEKTA aims to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) while promoting digital payment system adoption, such as QRIS. The hybrid event brought together the Juwara Mitra Bukalapak community, representing warungs, traditional kiosks, and individual agents from across Indonesia, with a focus on staying competitive by accelerating MSME digital transformation through an O2O (online-to-offline) business model.

MSMEs play a vital role in Indonesia’s economy, contributing over 60% to the GDP and employing 97% of the national workforce. However, digital transformation remains a challenge that must be addressed to keep MSMEs competitive in the modern economic landscape. To overcome these challenges, cross-sector collaboration supported by an integrated ecosystem is essential to ensure competitiveness in the digital commerce era.

Building on its strategic partnership with VJI, part of Bukalapak’s ecosystem, Jalin supports MSME digital transformation by providing payment processing technology (switching). This support enables the Bukalapak ecosystem to deliver digital payment solutions like QRIS to its partners, offering benefits such as transaction efficiency, transparency, and broader market access, empowering MSMEs to scale their businesses. According to Bank Indonesia data as of November 2024, QRIS recorded 689.07 million transactions, with 55.02 million users and 35.1 million merchants. These figures highlight the significant potential to accelerate MSME digitalisation.

Bima Tjahja, Deputy Director of Bukalapak, highlighted the importance of collaboration with Jalin in supporting MSME digitalisation. “As part of the Bukalapak ecosystem, we are committed to empowering our partners across Indonesia through practical and efficient digital payment solutions. With Jalin’s support, we can expand access to payment technologies like QRIS, which have proven to enhance efficiency and open new opportunities for MSMEs to thrive,” Bima stated.

Eko Dedi Rukminto, Jalin’s Commercial Director, reaffirmed Jalin’s commitment as a national payment system infrastructure provider to supporting Mitra Bukalapak’s ecosystem by delivering digital payment solutions like QRIS to MSMEs. “We believe that digital transformation through a robust ecosystem can help MSMEs enhance competitiveness, improve efficiency, and gain access to more inclusive financial services,” Eko stated.

As a subsidiary of an SOE within the Danareksa Holding, Jalin also acts as an agent of development, committed to empowering the MSME sector as the backbone of Indonesia’s economy. Synergies with strategic partners like Bukalapak enable Jalin to strengthen the digital ecosystem, deliver payment solutions such as QRIS, and provide relevant education to business actors, fostering equitable financial inclusion.
