Annually on April 21st, Indonesia celebrates Kartini Day, honoring it as a symbol of women’s empowerment and the pursuit of equality. This year, PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (Jalin) marks this historic occasion in a special and meaningful manner.

Going beyond a symbolic celebration of wearing traditional attire, Jalin honors Kartini Day through tangible actions to promote women’s empowerment in the workplace. This is exemplified by an inspiring talkshow titled, "Shining in Career and Life: Smart Ways to Manage What Can be Changed and Accept What Cannot".

At least 150 female participants took part in the interactive discussion held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Jalin's head office. This session provided a conducive and interactive space for all female employees to share their stories, challenges, and strategies for managing roles and responsibilities as career women, particularly as working mothers.

On that occasion, Putu Agnia, as the VP of Corporate Secretary as well as one of the senior women leaders at Jalin, stated that the company consistently supports gender equality and the involvement of women in strategic roles.

“At Jalin, we don’t just talk about representation quotas, but also quality. We strongly support equality, where every individual, both men and women, has the same opportunity to grow and hold strategic positions. Of course, based on the competence and contribution of each individual,” she explained

Putu further expressed that female employees hold strategic importance within the company. “Moreover, Jalin’s operational environment is technical and traditionally masculine due to its nature as an IT company. Yet, our female employee prove that expertise and professionalism go beyond gender, even in highly specialized technical areas,” she stated.

She also elaborated on the gender diversity within Jalin’s strategic leadership. “In this year, our leadership ranks include 12 female Unit Heads, 5 Vice Presidents, and 1 Executive Vice President,” noted Putu.

Beyond the inspiring talkshow, a photo competition involving all levels of Jalin’s employees was also held to emphasize the values of equality, togetherness, and collaboration. Taking place from April 21 to 23, 2026, both male and female employees were invited to express their appreciation for Indonesian culture by wearing attire featuring wastra nusantara.

Jalin believes that empowering and advocating for gender equality is synonymous with fostering the company's own growth. Through this year’s Kartini Day celebration, Jalin aims to continue inspire all employees to support one another and cultivate an inclusive workplace—an environment where every individual, regardless of gender, has equal opportunities to shine and offer their best contributions toward Jalin’s growth.
