ATM Link Ready for Eid Travelers, Jalin Guarantees Safe and Smooth Transactions

Jakarta, March 19, 2025 – PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (“Jalin”), a subsidiary of Danareksa SOE Holding, has undertaken various proactive measures to anticipate the significant surge in banking and payment transactions ahead of the 2025 Eid holiday. The Ministry of Transportation estimates that 146 million people will travel for the annual homecoming (mudik), with 36.6 million travelers heading to Central Java, the most popular destination. The total economic turnover during Eid is projected to reach IDR 180 trillion, with the transportation and accommodation sectors accounting for over 30% of total spending.

Jalin’s CEO, Ario Tejo Bayu Aji, reaffirmed the company’s readiness to ensure smooth transactions during the holiday season, particularly for Himbara bank customers utilizing the ATM Link network. “We have enhanced system capacity, maintained service stability, and strengthened cybersecurity measures. These steps are crucial to supporting various transactions—including ATM/CRM withdrawals, mobile banking, QRIS, and debit payments—which tend to spike during Eid,” said Ario.

To ensure seamless operations, Jalin has established the Ramadan-Eid (RaFi) 2025 Command Center, operating from March 24 to April 7, 2025, along with the launch of its first Regional Office (RO) in Bandung to support operations in West Java. This 24/7 command center is dedicated to ensuring uninterrupted payment transactions, providing real-time technical support, and swiftly resolving potential operational disruptions. As part of its expansion strategy, Jalin also plans to open additional Regional Offices in key provinces, including Central Java and East Java, to strengthen its business footprint.

Jalin’s Director of Operations, Argabudhy Sasrawiguna, highlighted that over 40,000 Himbara ATMs and CRMs across Indonesia have been optimized to ensure hassle-free transactions for customers. Himbara bank customers can enjoy free cash withdrawals and balance inquiries (IDR 0 transaction fees) across all ATM Link machines.

“With this transaction fee policy, Himbara customers can access services as if they were using their home bank’s ATM, eliminating the need to find a specific machine. Customers needing cash withdrawals can do so seamlessly, as all Himbara customers are connected to the ATM Link network, which comprises over 40,000 machines. Whether using an ATM from BRI, BNI, Bank Mandiri, or BTN, all Himbara customers can withdraw cash for IDR 0 at any of these machines,” Arga explained.

As an additional safeguard, Jalin has strengthened its security infrastructure by deploying a Fraud Detection System (FDS) to mitigate the increased risk of fraud that typically accompanies transaction surges during Eid. The company has also expanded server capacity and optimized its database systems to handle the anticipated spike in both digital and cash transactions, particularly in high-traffic areas.

“At Jalin, we remain committed to being the backbone of Indonesia’s national payment infrastructure. We believe our preparedness will provide greater convenience and confidence for the public in conducting secure and seamless transactions throughout the Eid holiday period,” concluded Ario.
