Bank Muamalat Collaborates with Jalin to Expand the Payment System Network

Jakarta, May 9, 2023 - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk has collaborated with PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (Jalin) to expand the payment system network. Through this collaboration, Bank Muamalat becomes a member of the LINK network managed by Jalin.


The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bank Muamalat and Jalin was held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 in Jakarta. Bank Muamalat was represented by Director of Operations and Digital Affairs, Wahyu Avianto and Jalin was represented by Director Eko Dedi Rukminto.


Wahyu said that this collaboration has further increased Bank Muamalat customers’ access to a wider payment network. With the addition of this new payment channel, Bank Muamalat customers can make cash transfers and withdrawals, bill payments, product and service purchases, and e-commerce payments through ATMs with the LINK logo.


“This collaboration is a manifestation of Bank Muamalat’s commitment to improving service quality which includes customer security, reliability, and convenience by offering more payment options. In addition, this is expected to help banks remain competitive in the market  and attract new customers who put convenience and security first in transactions,” he said.


Wahyu added that, currently, more than 60% of Bank Muamalat’s customer transactions are carried out through ATMs of State-Owned Bank Association (Himbara) banks managed by Jalin.


In line with Wahyu, Eko revealed that his party provides full support for the provision of digital financial infrastructure for Bank Muamalat as a member of the LINK network, mainly through ATM and Debit channels. “We welcome the synergy formed between Bank Muamalat and Jalin in order to provide secure, convenient, and wider financial services for customers,” said Eko.


Furthermore, Jalin has managed the LINK switching network service and has obtained the largest market share in the GPN Debit Switching product category. By holding the status of a Payment System Infrastructure Provider (PIP), Jalin has begun to transform into a digital enabler that connects the community with financial and non-financial ecosystems in accordance with the company’s long-term plan to become “The National Digital Highway”.


“The partnership with Bank Muamalat is also expected to become a strategic foothold towards collaborative development of innovative, broad, and varied digital products and services, as well as provide benefits for Bank Muamalat customers,” concluded Eko.
