Jalin Accelerates the Development of the Digital Ecosystem in the Logistics Industry through a BUMN Synergy with Pos Indonesia

PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara ("Jalin") has officially engaged in a strategic partnership with PT Pos Indonesia ("Pos Indonesia") as part of a state-owned enterprises (BUMN) synergy to speed up the development of the digital ecosystem, especially QR-based transaction services, to enhance Pos Indonesia's payment features.

This collaboration was officially marked by the Signing Ceremony between Jalin and Pos Indonesia, represented by Eko Dedi Rukminto, Director of Jalin, and Haris, Director of Financial Business Services Pos Indonesia, on Wednesday (07/02). Also present at the occasion were Ario Tejo Bayu Aji, CEO of Jalin, and Faizal R Djoemadi, CEO of Pos Indonesia.

Ernst & Young's research reveals a 40% yearly surge in the worth of online business transactions in Indonesia. Concurrently, IDC Asia Pacific forecasts that e-commerce transactions in the country will soar to US$118 billion by 2027, with app-based service providers leading the market.

"This data aligns with the rising trend in digital transactions, especially QRIS through the switching Link network managed by Jalin. Therefore, through the collaborative implementation of expanding QRIS services and other digital products via the Link network, Jalin is confident in supporting the acceleration of Pos Indonesia's growth towards digitization," expressed Jalin's Commercial Director, Eko Dedi Rukminto.

Similarly, Jalin's CEO, Ario Tejo Bayu Aji, revealed that this collaboration is to support the payment system infrastructure in various logistics services and digital products (Pospay) owned by Pos Indonesia. "This synergy is our commitment to supporting Pos Indonesia as a Logistics SOE to further promote economic growth in the Remote, Frontline, and Outermost (3T) regions," he explained.

During the same event, Haris, Director of Financial Business Services at Pos Indonesia, expressed appreciation for the established synergy as a collective effort to accelerate Pos Indonesia's transformation towards a comprehensive and sustainable digital business model. "As a SOE engaged in courier services, logistics, and financial transactions, this collaboration marks the beginning of our endeavor to explore broader synergy opportunities in digital financial innovation to enhance the quality and competitiveness of Pos Indonesia," he stated.

As the Payment System Infrastructure Provider (PIP) under the guidance of BUMN, Jalin is committed to achieving domestic payment system sovereignty through interconnection and interoperability. "This is also Jalin's commitment to delivering innovative solutions and convenience of digital financial services to achieve financial inclusion in Indonesia," Ario concluded.
