Jalin’s 9th Anniversary Signals a New Phase of Innovation and National Payment System Modernization

Jakarta — PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (“Jalin”), part of the Danantara ecosystem under the state-owned enterprise holding Danareksa, marks its 9th anniversary this year. Carrying the theme “Nine & Shine,” this year’s celebration reflects Jalin’s ongoing journey in strengthening Indonesia’s national payment system infrastructure and delivering services that are inclusive, secure, and reliable for the public.

Jalin’s President Director, Ario Tejo Bayu Aji, stated that nine years is not merely a measure of time, but a process of maturation that signifies the company’s readiness to enter its first decade. He emphasized that the achievements gained throughout this period are the result of collaboration, innovation, and the dedication of all Jalin employees, supported by the trust of various stakeholders. Ario reaffirmed Jalin’s commitment to enhancing its role as The National Digital Highway, with a vision to expand connectivity across society, banks, fintech players, and other sectors within the national payment ecosystem.

Over the past year, Jalin has recorded a number of strategic achievements that further strengthen its position as a national payment system infrastructure provider. These include the signing of the Indonesia–China QRIS Cross-Border cooperation, support for the launch of QRIS Tap by Bank Indonesia, the inauguration of the Bandung Regional Office, and multiple recognitions such as the Indonesia Best 50 CEO Awards 2025, the Excellence Support in Digital Payment Inclusion Award at the Mastercard Forum 2025, and the Best Retail Payment Technology Initiative in Asia Pacific together with Euronet. This year also marks a significant milestone as the Government, through Presidential Regulation No. 68/2025, appointed Jalin as the operator of the Foreign Digital Transaction Tax Collection System (SPP-TDLN)—a strategic mandate that expands Jalin’s contribution to national payment sovereignty.

Jalin also continued to strengthen public trust by securing an A/Stable rating from Pefindo, obtaining certification as an Electronic System Operator (PSE), and completing surveillance audits for ISO 9001, 27001, 27701, and 37001. The renewal of PCI DSS and PCI PIN certifications further demonstrate the company’s commitment to maintaining strong data security standards. Additionally, Jalin continued to grow its ecosystem by surpassing 100 members, launching Jalin Verifi3D, and expanding cross-border QRIS implementation with Japan, alongside further development of Indonesia–China QRIS connectivity.

As part of the anniversary series, Jalin also marked an important phase in strengthening its organizational capabilities through a leadership transition in the Technology Directorate. After six years of strengthening infrastructure foundations, enhancing operational capacity, and steering Jalin’s technology transformation during its most critical growth phase, Fajar Adimarta, Technology Director for the 2019–2025 period, officially entered retirement in early November. His strategic contributions were instrumental in accelerating Jalin’s efforts to reinforce resilience, elevate service reliability, and expand the scale of the company’s ecosystem.

This leadership transition serves as a momentum to ensure continuity in the company’s strategic agenda—particularly in reinforcing technological readiness, improving service quality for banks and payment service providers, and safeguarding operational stability as a national payment system infrastructure processing millions of transactions daily. As Jalin moves toward its first decade, strengthening organizational capability—including in technology—remains a crucial foundation for future business sustainability and expansion.

Closing the celebration, Ario emphasized that the 9th anniversary is not an endpoint, but a starting point for a new chapter. With the spirit of Nine & Shine, Jalin is committed to delivering continuous innovation, strengthening cross-ecosystem synergy, and playing an even greater role in building a resilient, secure, and globally competitive national payment system.

“Our journey is far from over. As we enter our first decade, Jalin carries bigger dreams and a stronger determination to contribute to the nation,” he stated.

The 9th anniversary celebration serves as a valuable momentum for Jalin to reaffirm its identity as a vital infrastructure supporting Indonesia’s payment system transformation—moving forward together toward a brighter and more prosperous digital future for the nation.
