PT Bank Jabar Banten Syariah (“bank bjb syariah”) is officially integrated into the membership of the "Link" service managed by PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara ("Jalin"), a part of the BUMN Danareksa Holding. This membership was formalized through a memorandum of cooperation signed directly by the Business Director and Acting President Director of bank bjb syariah, Ita Garmeita, and the CEO of Jalin, Ario Tejo Bayu Aji, on Friday (03/05).

Through the signing of this memorandum, it further solidifies bank bjb syariah's position in utilizing payment processing systems (switching), enabling bank bjb syariah customers to utilize the digital ecosystem and services owned by Jalin, such as the ATM network throughout Indonesia, Cardless Cash Withdrawal (CCW), and Cross-border QR.

Bank Indonesia (BI) released data stating that the growth of the Halal Value Chain (HVC) sector reached 3.93% (yoy) in 2023. Overall, the HVC sector supports nearly 23% of the national economy, sequentially contributed by the Agriculture and Halal Food, Muslim-Friendly Tourism (PRM), and Muslim Fashion sectors. The performance of the Islamic economy and finance also saw an increase in the State of The Global Islamic Economic (SGIE) ranking to third place.

Given this significant potential, bank bjb syariah is committed to leveraging this momentum to accelerate digital transformation to enhance transactions between customers and interbank transactions such as to BUMN-owned banks (BRI, BNI, Bank Mandiri, and BTN).

Ita Garmeita, the Business Director and Acting President Director of bank bjb syariah, expressed that this strategic partnership is a very good momentum for bank bjb syariah, aligning with their commitment to continuously innovate and provide convenient services to the public by introducing digital services and efforts to improve, expand, and develop banking services in terms of optimizing digital system digitization on electronic channel systems. It is hoped that through this collaboration, it can also meet the broader transaction needs of the community, making us the preferred innovative and sustainable Shariah Bank for the welfare of society.

Ario Tejo Bayu Aji, CEO of Jalin, stated Jalin's ready to support the acceleration of bank bjb syariah's digital transformation. According to him, bank bjb syariah has a strong understanding of the potential growth of the national Islamic economy and finance. For example, with the development of interconnection services of Cross-border QR provided by Jalin, bank bjb syariah will be able to increase banking transaction volumes, especially in the halal tourism sector in Malaysia. On the other hand, through this strategic collaboration, bank bjb syariah and Jalin also agreed to support each other in achieving financial inclusion evenly across all layers of society. This will also expand the acceptance of the best Shariah mobile banking application in Indonesia today, namely "Mobile Maslahah," said Ario.
