Jalin Ensures Reliable Operational Services to Face the Surge in Financial Transactions During Eid al-Fitr 2024

Jakarta, March 25, 2024 – PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (Jalin), part of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Holding Danareksa, ensures the readiness of its services to face the moments of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2024. Bank Indonesia (BI) has prepared a cash requirement of Rp 197.6 trillion, an increase from the previous year's Rp 188.8 trillion.

This increase is in line with the improving economic recovery in Indonesia post-COVID-19 pandemic and the projection of an increase in the number of travelers estimated to reach 193 million people nationally. During the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr moments, the food and beverage, transportation, and retail sectors are predicted to be the main drivers of consumption for Indonesian society during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2024.

The CEO, Ario Tejo Bayu Aji, stated, "Jalin, as the leading provider of payment system infrastructure, has prepared all reliable operational services, both for transactions using digital services and for optimizing ATM Link services to support the surge in transactions from our members in the banking and fintech sectors."

Ario also ensured that the surge in financial transactions is predicted to occur from April 4 to 16, 2024, so it is estimated that the number of people transacting through various payment channels will increase, such as ATM, Debit, and QRIS, compared to the daily average in 2024. If projected, there will be an increase in transactions across all payment channels by more than 25% compared to last year's Eid al-Fitr.

Jalin believes that operational excellence during the peak period of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr is a key factor in providing optimal financial services. To achieve this goal, Jalin has implemented a Health Check System to ensure that its infrastructure system is in the best condition and ready to face the surge in transactions during this year's Eid holiday. Additionally, Jalin will also set up an Eid al-Fitr Post (RaFi) that will operate 24/7 from April 4 to 16, 2024, located at the Jalin Command Center.
