DANA and Jalin Agree on Strategic Collaboration: Expanding Interconnectivity of Digital Financial Services

Jakarta - PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara ("Jalin"), a part of the State-Owned Enterprises Holding Danareksa and PT Espay Debit Indonesia Koe ("DANA"), have officially entered into a strategic collaboration involving the use of Quick Response Indonesia Standard (QRIS)-based payment processing technology in the "Link" network services to support the expansion of interconnectivity of digital financial services. This collaboration was materialized through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement attended directly by Jalin's President Director, Ario Tejo Bayu Aji, and DANA Indonesia's CEO & Co-Founder Vince Iswara on Thursday (25/04).

The government continues to encourage the role of financial technology (fintech) industry in enhancing access to financial services, especially for rural communities, remote areas, low-income populations, and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). They are crucial in achieving the national financial inclusion target of 90% by 2024.

With this support, it is hoped that communities who previously lacked access to financial services can benefit more significantly. Meanwhile, it is expected that the growth of MSMEs can also be accelerated through easier access to financing via other safer and more efficient financial services, supported by the fintech role and Payment System Infrastructure Providers (PIP) like Jalin.

DANA, as a technology company providing digital payment and financial services, expresses its support for this endeavor. "We believe that the ongoing partnerships we engage in are a gateway to creating an inclusive and financially healthy Indonesian society. One of them is by partnering with entities like Jalin, which has the 'Link' network service. DANA creates an inclusive payment platform and financial services with our consistent vision of realizing a cashless Indonesian society. Hopefully, with this partnership, various features and services available on the DANA digital wallet can be accessed safely, easily, and conveniently by all Indonesian people," said Vince Iswara, CEO & Co-Founder of DANA Indonesia.

CEO of Jalin, Ario Tejo Bayu Aji, also welcomed the establishment of strategic cooperation between DANA and Jalin. According to him, as one of the largest digital wallet providers currently, DANA not only requires support from reliable but also inclusive digital payment system infrastructure. "We share a similar vision in building a strong digital economic ecosystem, where the main goal is to connect the community with both financial and non-financial ecosystems. This vision is aligned with our commitment as The National Digital Highway which plays a role in realizing domestic payment sovereignty with DANA," said Ario.

With DANA joining the "Link" network, it simultaneously strengthens its position in penetrating the expansion of services to other Jalin members. "Through this interconnectivity, DANA can expand its service acceptance to other financial industries, including banking, fintech, as well as the use of international QRIS with broader coverage," concluded Ario.
