Jakarta Accelerates Market Digitalization Through Jalin and Netzme Collaboration
Nov 14, 2025
Jakarta — The digital transformation of traditional markets in Jakarta has gained new momentum through a collaborative initiative involving Perumda Pasar Jaya (“Pasar Jaya”), PT Netzme Kreasi Indonesia (“Netzme”), and PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (“Jalin”). A pilot implementation of QRIS Soundbox has been rolled out across ten designated markets in the capital as an initial step to accelerate non-cash payment adoption among micro and small merchants.
The program is designed to deliver a safer and more seamless transaction experience. QRIS Soundbox provides automatic voice-based payment notifications, reducing the risk of fraud, minimizing verification errors, and ensuring accurate transaction records without the need for merchants to constantly check their mobile devices. Its ease of use is a key advantage for merchants who are still transitioning to digital payment systems.
This collaboration brings a more comprehensive approach to digitalizing merchant ecosystems. Netzme, a member of the Jalin network, contributes not only through the provision of QRIS Soundbox devices but also through its integrated payment solutions. Supported by its platform and API capabilities, merchants are able to manage transactions, monitor financial activity, and handle operational needs within a more structured digital environment—helping MSMEs transition gradually and sustainably into the digital economy.

As the operator of Indonesia’s national payment infrastructure, Jalin ensures that connectivity supporting these services remains secure, reliable, and compliant with national standards. This aligns with Jalin’s role in fostering inclusive, secure, and dependable payment services, in line with its vision as The National Digital Highway under the Danantara ecosystem of Holding BUMN Danareksa.
The introduction of QRIS Soundbox in traditional markets also serves as an important step toward strengthening digital literacy among merchants. With improved safety and convenience, the technology is expected to accelerate the adoption of non-cash transactions while enhancing efficiency and transparency in daily operations.
Following the pilot phase, Pasar Jaya will conduct a comprehensive evaluation to determine the readiness of merchants, the effectiveness of the technology, and its suitability for broader deployment across the entire market network.
The collaboration between Jalin, Netzme, and Pasar Jaya is anticipated to serve as a model for MSME digitalization—one that prioritizes not only technology adoption but also user comfort, security, and long-term sustainability. With robust infrastructure and practical, user-friendly solutions in place, traditional markets in Jakarta are entering a more mature stage of digital transformation with tangible benefits for the local economy.
