Jakarta – PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (“Jalin”) underscored the importance of strengthening fraud management as digital transactions continue to grow in both volume and complexity. The message was conveyed by Eko Dedi Rukminto, Director of Jalin, during the Customer Voice session at SmartVista Day 2026, held on Wednesday, 23 September, at Pullman Jakarta.
Jalin currently serves more than 120 partners across the banking and financial technology sectors. With such extensive connectivity, effective risk management plays a critical role in maintaining the security and reliability of the infrastructure that connects multiple institutions within a single ecosystem.
“We manage interconnections across more than 120 banks and fintech companies. This means that an attack on one point of interconnection could potentially affect the broader ecosystem we manage. We recognize that a vulnerability at one partner can create wider systemic risks. This is why we continue to ensure that our system interconnections remain resilient and secure,” Eko said.
To address these challenges, Jalin continues to strengthen real-time transaction monitoring, enhance visibility into transaction patterns, and support investigation processes through more structured and actionable information.
“As transaction volumes and patterns continue to evolve, the ability to identify potential risks early and respond effectively becomes increasingly important. For Jalin, fraud management is an integral part of maintaining secure and reliable infrastructure,” Eko added.
As part of this capability development, Jalin collaborates with BPC SmartVista as one of its technology partners. The collaboration was further strengthened through a Memorandum of Understanding signed in December 2025, supporting Jalin’s ongoing efforts to enhance its fraud management capabilities.
At the same time, the evolving nature of fraud requires a multi-layered approach to risk management, spanning transaction, account, and network levels. Eko also emphasized that cross-industry collaboration is essential to strengthening the payment ecosystem.
“Security cannot be built by one party alone. As the ecosystem becomes increasingly interconnected, capabilities must also be strengthened collaboratively so that the benefits can extend across the wider ecosystem,” Eko said.
Through its participation in SmartVista Day 2026, Jalin reaffirmed that expanding connectivity must go hand in hand with stronger risk management. As a systemic payment infrastructure provider, Jalin remains committed to continuously strengthening its security capabilities to safeguard network reliability and support the resilience of an increasingly interconnected payment ecosystem.
